The NORTON 66252922672 is a Type 1 resinoid-bonded aluminum oxide cut-off wheel designed for precision cutting in stationary grinder applications. Measuring 7 inches in diameter and 1/16 inches thick with a 1/2 inches arbor hole, this non-reinforced wheel carries a 60-grit rating and a maximum operating speed of 6550 RPM. The resinoid bond and aluminum oxide abrasive provide consistent cut quality on ferrous and stainless materials. Licensed abrasive technicians and metal fabricators specify this wheel for straight, flush cuts where kerf width and heat control matter.
This cut-off wheel is rated for use on steel and stainless steel in stationary grinder setups. It is well suited to metal fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and trade environments where a smaller-diameter wheel is needed for precision cutoff work. The Type 1 (01/41) flat-profile geometry keeps the cut path narrow, reducing material waste and operator correction time. Its 60-grit structure makes it appropriate for general-purpose cutting rather than fine finishing work.
Designed for use with stationary grinders. Rated for cutting steel and stainless steel. Always verify that the grinder spindle speed does not exceed the 6550 RPM maximum marked on the wheel before mounting.
Mounting and replacement of abrasive cut-off wheels should be performed by a qualified operator following ANSI B7.1 safe-use guidelines. Power down and fully de-energize the stationary grinder before changing wheels. Inspect the wheel visually and perform a ring test for cracks before mounting. Never exceed the maximum RPM rating stamped on the wheel, and always use the correct arbor flanges and blotter pads as required by the grinder manufacturer.
