The NORTON 66252839424 is a Type 27 depressed center grinding wheel designed for aggressive material removal on metal and other hard surfaces. Built with a ceramic alumina abrasive grain bonded in a resinoid matrix, it delivers consistent cut rate and durability under sustained load. The coarse 24-grit rating makes it well suited for weld grinding, surface conditioning, and stock removal where speed of cut matters more than finish. At 4.5 inches in diameter and 0.125 inches thick, it mounts via a 7/8-inch arbor hole and is rated for a maximum of 13,580 RPM. This wheel is used by metalworkers, fabricators, and maintenance technicians working with angle grinders in industrial and field environments.
This wheel is applied in metal fabrication shops, structural steel work, and maintenance and repair operations where heavy grinding or weld blending on ferrous metals is required. The Type 27 depressed-center profile provides clearance for flat and contoured surface work, allowing the operator to work close to edges and into corners. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 25 units, making it appropriate for shop stocking programs or fleet maintenance accounts that require consistent supply of consumable abrasives.
Designed as a replacement-style consumable grinding wheel for 4.5-inch angle grinders accepting a 7/8-inch arbor, operating at or below 13,580 RPM.
Installation should be performed by a qualified operator familiar with abrasive wheel safety per ANSI B7.1 guidelines. Always power down and disconnect the grinder before mounting or removing a wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before each use and never exceed the rated maximum RPM. Ensure the guard is properly in place before operating the grinder.
