The NORTON 66252839100 is a crimped-wire wheel brush designed for aggressive surface preparation, deburring, and cleaning on metal workpieces. It features a carbon steel fill material with a coarse grade wire configuration and mounts via a standard arbor hole. The brush runs at a maximum of 4,000 RPM, making it suitable for use on bench grinders and similar stationary equipment. With an 8-inch outside diameter and a 1-inch face width, it covers a practical working surface for production and maintenance applications. No shank is included — the 5/8-inch arbor hole provides direct spindle mounting.
This wheel brush is well suited for industrial maintenance, fabrication shops, and general metalworking environments where heavy-duty wire brushing is required. Typical applications include weld spatter removal, rust and scale stripping, and surface conditioning on steel and iron parts. It is installed on bench grinders or pedestal grinders and is a common tool for both production and job-site maintenance work. Sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 5 units per order.
Designed as an arbor-hole-mount wheel brush for bench grinders and pedestal grinders accepting a 5/8-inch arbor and accommodating an 8-inch wheel diameter. Verify maximum RPM rating of the grinder does not exceed 4,000 RPM before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified operator familiar with abrasive wheel safety procedures. Power down and lock out the grinder before mounting or removing the brush. Confirm the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 4,000 RPM maximum rating marked on the brush. Always dress with appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when operating wire wheel brushes, and inspect the brush for damaged or broken wires before each use.
