The NORTON 66252837421 is a Type 1 vitrified surface grinding wheel designed for precision stock removal and surface finishing on metallic workpieces. Measuring 6 inches in diameter by 3/4 inches thick with a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole, this wheel carries a 60-grit aluminum oxide abrasive at K hardness (medium grade). Mounting and dressing of grinding wheels should be performed by qualified personnel following ANSI B11.9 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.215 guidelines. Power down and lock out the grinder before installing or removing the wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before mounting and perform a ring test; do not use a wheel that sounds dull or cracked. Always use the correct flanges and blotters, and allow the wheel to run at operating speed for at least one minute in a protected area before bringing it into contact with the workpiece.
