The NORTON 66243522381 is a Type 1 straight surface grinding wheel designed for aggressive stock removal on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built with aluminum oxide abrasive and a resinoid bond, it measures 2-1/2 inches in diameter, 1/2 inch thick, with a 3/8 inch hole size. Rated at 24 grit with an R hardness code and very coarse grade, this wheel delivers fast, aggressive cutting action suited to rough grinding applications. It is rated for a maximum speed of 21,700 RPM. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical trade technicians as well as industrial machinists performing surface preparation or weld cleanup will find this wheel a practical shop consumable.

Grinding wheel installation and dressing should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with abrasive wheel safety standards including ANSI B7.1. Before mounting, power down and lock out the grinder per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before each use and never exceed the stated maximum RPM of 21,700. Proper flanges and blotters must be used as required by the grinder manufacturer.
