The NORTON 662434-11393 is a Type 1 straight cut-off blade engineered for cutting metal in tight, confined applications. Built with a Gemini Aluminum Oxide abrasive bond, this small-diameter wheel delivers consistent, controlled cuts on ferrous metal stock. At 2 inches in diameter and only .035 inches thick, it is designed for rotary tools and small right-angle die grinders where a full-size cut-off wheel will not fit. It is rated to a maximum of 30,560 RPM, making speed matching to the tool a required step before use. Abrasive mechanics, millwrights, and maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this blade type.
This blade is suited for precision deburring, light-duty ferrous metal cutting, and detail work in fabrication or maintenance environments. The small 2-inch diameter and thin .035-inch kerf are well matched to rotary tool applications where material removal must be minimal and access is restricted. Sold in minimum quantities of 25 per unit of measure, making it appropriate for shop stock or toolcrib inventory where high blade turnover is expected.
Designed for use with rotary tools and small die grinders fitted with a 1/4-inch arbor mandrel and rated for Type 1 cut-off wheels. Intended for metal cutting applications.
Always verify the tool's rated no-load RPM does not exceed the wheel's 30,560 RPM maximum before mounting. Inspect the blade for cracks or chips prior to each use and do not use a damaged wheel. Wear appropriate eye protection and a face shield during cutting operations. Follow ANSI B7.1 safety requirements for the use, care, and protection of abrasive wheels.
