The NORTON 63642595472 is a 2-inch coated quick-change abrasive disc engineered for aggressive stock removal on stainless steel and other hard metals. Part of the R980P series, it uses 100% ceramic alumina grain that continuously fractures to expose sharp cutting edges throughout the disc life. A resin bond system locks grain in place to extend disc life, while a self-lubricating grain treatment reduces heat buildup at the workpiece. At a coarse 50 grit, this disc delivers the fastest available stock removal rates and is well suited for weld blending and deburring operations. It attaches via the Speed-Lok TR Type R quick-change system and is rated to 30,000 RPM.
