The NORTON 63642595450 is a Type S quick-change coated abrasive disc engineered for aggressive stock removal, weld blending, and deburring on stainless steel and other hard alloys. Built on the R980P series platform, it uses 100% ceramic alumina grain bonded with a resin system designed to continuously fracture and expose sharp cutting edges throughout the disc life. The polyester Y-weight backing provides rigidity and resistance to tearing under sustained pressure. At 80 grit, this disc falls in the medium-to-coarse range and is suited for rapid material removal without sacrificing disc longevity. It mounts via the Speed-Lok TS (Type S) attachment system and is rated to 30,000 RPM.

This disc is designed for use with handheld disc sanders equipped with a Type S quick-change hub. Primary material applications include 300 series and 400 series stainless steel, where heat control and consistent cut rate are critical.
