The NORTON 61463650324 is a square silicon carbide dressing stick designed to true, dress, and open the face of superabrasive grinding wheels. At 400 grit with a super fine grade and vitrified bond, it removes glazing and loading from wheel surfaces to restore cutting action and maintain correct wheel geometry. The vitrified bond provides a rigid, porous structure that breaks down predictably under use, exposing fresh abrasive grains. This stick is used by grinding machine operators, tool and die shops, and production machining environments where consistent wheel performance is required.
This dressing stick is suited for bench, surface, cylindrical, and tool grinding applications where superabrasive wheels — including CBN and diamond wheels — require periodic conditioning. The 400 grit super fine grade makes it appropriate for finish grinding operations where tight tolerances and smooth surface finishes are the priority. Its compact square profile and 6-inch length allow controlled hand dressing or fixture-mounted dressing passes across the wheel face.
Designed for dressing and conditioning superabrasive grinding wheels in bench, surface, cylindrical, and tool grinding applications.
Dressing sticks are used by machine operators and grinding technicians. Always power down and bring the grinding wheel to a full stop before performing any off-machine inspection or stick replacement. When dressing an in-motion wheel, follow the machine manufacturer's dressing procedure and use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection. Secure the stick firmly to prevent it from being grabbed by the rotating wheel face.
