The NORTON 61463624562 is a cylinder-shaped mounted point abrasive designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface finishing in hard-to-reach areas. Built with aluminum oxide abrasive grain bonded in a vitrified matrix, this mounted point delivers consistent cut rate and long service life under sustained use. It carries a medium grade with a 60 grit rating, making it suited for moderate stock removal and light blending on ferrous metals and similar materials. The 1/4-inch diameter shank fits standard die grinders and rotary tools used by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance trade professionals who require controlled, repeatable results in tight geometries.
This mounted point is used in applications where a standard grinding wheel cannot reach — internal bores, cavities, weld joints, and contoured surfaces. The cylinder profile (W216 shape code) provides a flat working face and a peripheral grinding edge, giving the operator flexibility in both plunge and lateral grinding passes. It is a common fit for general metalworking, mold and die finishing, and maintenance grinding in production shop and field repair environments. Each package contains one mounted point, with a minimum order quantity of 5 units.
Designed for use with die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 1/4-inch collet. Suitable for grinding ferrous metals in general machining, maintenance, mold finishing, and tool-and-die applications.
Mounted points must be installed and operated by personnel familiar with abrasive safety standards, including ANSI B7.1 guidelines. Before mounting, inspect the point for cracks or chips and confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 38,200 RPM rating marked on this product. Secure the shank fully into the collet and tighten to the tool manufacturer specification before powering on. Always use appropriate eye protection and work guards when operating grinding accessories.
