The NORTON 61463624418 is a vitrified aluminum oxide mounted point designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface finishing in hard-to-reach areas. It features a B51 flame point shape, which concentrates abrasive contact on contoured surfaces, internal cavities, and complex profiles. The 60-grit medium-grade abrasive removes material at a controlled rate while leaving a consistent surface finish. With a 1/8-inch shank diameter and 1-1/2-inch shank length, this point mounts directly into die grinders, rotary tools, and pendant drills used by machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians.
This mounted point suits general industrial grinding applications including weld blending, mold and die work, casting cleanup, and tool reconditioning. The flame profile is particularly effective on concave surfaces, port work, and inside radii where flat or cylindrical points cannot maintain consistent contact. It is rated for use in air-powered and electric die grinders operating within the specified RPM range. The 3/4-inch head thickness provides adequate material volume for extended service life across ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces.
Designed for use with die grinders, rotary tools, and pendant drills accepting a 1/8-inch collet. Suitable for grinding ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, and similar hard materials in industrial maintenance and fabrication applications.
A licensed machinist or trained maintenance technician should install this mounted point in a die grinder or rotary tool with a properly sized 1/8-inch collet. Verify the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 62,820 RPM maximum before operation. Always inspect the point for cracks or chips before mounting and discard any damaged abrasive. Wear appropriate eye protection and follow applicable ANSI B7.1 safety standards for abrasive wheel use.
