The NORTON 61463624402 is an aluminum oxide mounted point in the A34 flat cone shape, designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface finishing on metal workpieces. Running at a maximum of 25,460 RPM with a vitrified bond, this mounted point delivers consistent stock removal at medium grade and 60 grit. The 3/8-inch head thickness and 1/4-inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard die grinders and rotary tools. Its brown aluminum oxide abrasive is well suited to ferrous metals and hard alloys. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and fabricators typically reach for this type of mounted point for internal bore work, cavity finishing, and hard-to-reach surface preparation.
This mounted point is used in light industrial and job-shop environments for internal grinding and detail deburring tasks. The flat cone A34 geometry allows the abrasive to reach angled surfaces, chamfers, and contoured profiles that flat or cylindrical wheels cannot access. It is appropriate for use on carbon steel, alloy steel, and similar ferrous materials. The 60-grit medium grade balances material removal rate with surface finish quality, making it a practical choice for intermediate grinding stages where a refined but not mirror finish is the target.
Designed as a standard mounted point for use with die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 1/4-inch collet. Suitable for grinding ferrous metals and hard alloys in tool-and-die, fabrication, and maintenance applications.
Mounted points must be installed in a die grinder or rotary tool with a matching 1/4-inch collet; ensure the collet is fully tightened before operation. Always verify the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 25,460 RPM maximum rating marked on this point before running. Wear appropriate eye protection and follow ANSI B11 and OSHA abrasive wheel safety guidelines. Inspect the mounted point for cracks or chips before each use and discard any damaged units.
