The NORTON 61463624382 is a vitrified aluminum oxide mounted point designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface finishing in hard-to-reach areas. Shaped as an A5 tree profile, it fits rotary die grinders and flexible shaft machines commonly used in metalworking, toolroom, and maintenance applications. At 60 grit with a medium grade and medium density, it removes material efficiently while leaving a controlled surface finish. The brown aluminum oxide abrasive is well suited for general-purpose work on ferrous metals and hard alloys. The 1/4-inch shank provides a secure, standard fit in most rotary tool chucks.
This mounted point is intended for industrial and trade use wherever tight clearances or contoured surfaces require a small-profile abrasive. Typical applications include weld cleanup, port grinding, mold and die work, and burr removal on cast or machined components. The A5 tree shape allows the operator to work at varying angles on irregular surfaces without repositioning the workpiece. It is suited for both bench-mounted flexible shaft units and handheld pneumatic or electric die grinders used in fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and tool rooms.
Designed for use in die grinders, flexible shaft machines, and rotary tools accepting a 1/4-inch shank mounted point. Verify that the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 38,550 RPM maximum rating before use.
Mounted points must be installed by a qualified operator following ANSI B7.1 safety standards for abrasive wheels. Inspect the point for cracks or chips before each use and discard if damage is found. Power down and disconnect the tool before mounting or removing the point, and tighten the collet or chuck securely before operation. Always allow the mounted point to run at operating speed for at least one minute in a guarded area before applying it to the workpiece.
