At 24 grit, this is a very coarse grade stick that aggressively removes glazed or loaded material from wheel faces, restoring cutting action and surface geometry. The vitrified bond provides a rigid, porous structure that resists heat and chemical exposure during dressing operations. This dressing stick suits bench grinders, pedestal grinders, and surface grinders found in fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and toolrooms. It is applied by hand-feeding the stick against the rotating wheel face to remove dull, glazed, or clogged abrasive grains. The 24 grit, very coarse grade makes it especially effective for coarser grinding wheels that require aggressive redressing rather than fine conditioning.
