The NORTON 076607-04062 is a 5-inch hook-and-loop sanding disc engineered for consistent material removal and extended service life on orbital and random-orbit sanders. Rated at P80 grit, it is suited for aggressive stock removal, surface leveling, and preparation work across wood, composites, and light metals. The 5-and-8-hole vacuum pattern allows dust to evacuate through the disc during operation, keeping the abrasive surface clear and the work area cleaner. These discs are sold in packs of 10, making them practical for job-site restocking. Licensed trades and skilled DIYers who run volume sanding work will find the pack format efficient for day-to-day use.
These discs are appropriate for residential and light commercial finishing applications where a P80-grit cut is required — rough shaping, paint or coating removal, and surface prep before moving to finer grits. The 5-and-8-hole vacuum configuration is compatible with dust-collection systems common to modern random-orbit sanders, reducing airborne particulate and improving visibility of the work surface. The 10-disc pack quantity supports consistent use on multi-surface projects without frequent reorder interruptions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement disc for 5-inch random-orbit and orbital sanders equipped with hook-and-loop backing pads and 5-and-8-hole dust extraction systems.
Disc installation and replacement is performed by sanding trades, finish carpenters, and painters. Before changing a disc, power off the sander and allow the pad to come to a complete stop. Align the vacuum holes on the disc with the holes on the sander backing pad before pressing the hook-and-loop surface firmly into contact. Inspect the backing pad for wear before mounting a new disc, as a deteriorated pad reduces disc adhesion and can affect finish quality.
