The NORTON 076607-01618 is a Type 1 right angle cut-off blade engineered for metal cutting applications. Built with an aluminum oxide abrasive grain, this blade delivers consistent, controlled cuts on ferrous metals and common steel workpieces. At 5 inches in diameter with a 0.040-inch thickness and a 7/8-inch arbor bore, it is a thin-kerf wheel designed to minimize material loss and reduce heat buildup during cutting. A maximum operating speed of 12,225 RPM makes it compatible with standard right angle grinders used daily in fabrication and maintenance work. Sold individually per unit as defined by the UOM designation.
This cut-off blade is suited for use in metal fabrication shops, mechanical contracting, industrial maintenance, and field service environments. The thin 0.040-inch profile makes it well-suited for cutting structural steel, pipe, conduit, angle iron, and similar ferrous stock. It is designed for use with right angle grinders equipped with a 7/8-inch arbor and is a common consumable for electricians, pipefitters, ironworkers, and general contractors who require fast, clean metal cuts on the job.
Designed for use with right angle grinders accepting a 5-inch diameter, 7/8-inch arbor Type 1 cut-off wheel for metal cutting applications.
Always verify the grinder spindle speed does not exceed the 12,225 RPM maximum rated speed marked on the wheel before mounting. Power down and disconnect the grinder from its power source before changing wheels. Inspect the blade for cracks, chips, or damage before each use and never use a damaged wheel. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including a face shield, gloves, and hearing protection during operation, in accordance with applicable ANSI and OSHA safety standards for abrasive wheel tools.
