The NORTON 076607-00153 is an Adalox open-coat abrasive sheet designed for sanding wood, metal, and painted surfaces where consistent stock removal and resistance to loading are critical. Measuring 9 inches by 11 inches, this full-size sheet fits standard hand blocks and sheet sanders used throughout finishing and fabrication trades. The paper backing carries a P50D coarse grit, making it well suited for aggressive material removal, surface preparation, and paint stripping. Open-coat construction spaces the abrasive grain to reduce clogging, extending the useful life of each sheet in applications involving soft materials or resins. Sheets are sold in a pack of 50.
These abrasive sheets are used in woodworking shops, metal fabrication, auto body preparation, and general surface finishing applications. The P50D coarse grit rating is appropriate for initial stock removal and leveling uneven surfaces before progressing to finer grits. The 9 by 11 inch standard format allows techs and tradespeople to cut sheets to size or use them full on sanding blocks and orbital finishing tools. Both residential and light commercial finishing tasks are common applications.
Designed as a standard full-sheet abrasive for use with hand sanding blocks and sheet-fed sanders that accept 9 by 11 inch abrasive sheets.
Abrasive sheets require no tools for mounting on hand blocks; secure according to the tool or block manufacturer's clamping method. When using powered sanders, ensure the machine is powered off and unplugged before changing sheets. Work in a ventilated area and use appropriate respiratory protection when sanding materials that generate fine dust. Progress through finer grits in sequence after completing coarse-grit stock removal to achieve the desired finish.
