The NORTEK GLOBAL HVAC C7BAM030U-C is an uncased microchannel evaporator coil designed for residential split-system air conditioning applications. Rated at 2.5 tons and compatible with R-410A refrigerant, this coil measures 19.5 inches wide and is built around a microchannel aluminum coil design that reduces refrigerant charge requirements and improves heat transfer efficiency compared to traditional copper-tube coils. Licensed HVAC technicians install this coil as part of a split-system cooling assembly, typically pairing it with a matching air handler or furnace cabinet during new construction or coil replacement service calls.
This coil is suited for residential split-system cooling installations where an uncased coil is required. The uncased configuration allows the coil to be fitted into an existing furnace or air handler cabinet, making it a practical choice for replacement work where the original cabinet is retained. The 2.5-ton capacity and 19.5-inch width target standard residential applications. R-410A compatibility aligns this coil with current-generation systems installed before the industry transition to lower-GWP refrigerants.
Designed as an OEM-style uncased replacement evaporator coil for residential split-system air conditioning installations requiring a 2.5-ton R-410A coil at 19.5 inches wide.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling regulations. Shut down and lock out the system at the disconnect before removing the existing coil or making any refrigerant connections. Proper evacuation of the refrigerant circuit is required before recharging with R-410A. Verify drain pan alignment, condensate line slope, and cabinet seal integrity before returning the system to service.
