The NORTEK GLOBAL HVAC C7BAM03036U-B is an uncased micro-channel evaporator coil designed for residential and light-commercial split-system air conditioning applications. Rated for 2.5 to 3 ton capacity and compatible with R-410A refrigerant, this coil measures 16 inches wide and installs in the supply air plenum above a matched air handler or furnace. The micro-channel construction reduces refrigerant charge volume and improves heat transfer efficiency compared to traditional fin-and-tube designs. Licensed HVAC technicians handling EPA Section 608 certified refrigerant work are the intended installers for this component.
This coil is suited for new installations and replacement applications in residential split-system cooling setups where an uncased coil configuration is required. The uncased design allows the installer to fit the coil into an existing or custom plenum cabinet without a factory-supplied casing, giving flexibility in tight or non-standard equipment closets and utility spaces. The 2.5-to-3-ton capacity range covers a broad segment of typical residential cooling loads. R-410A compatibility aligns with current industry-standard split systems produced before the refrigerant transition to R-454B and similar lower-GWP alternatives.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation evaporator coil for R-410A residential split-system air conditioning equipment in the 2.5-to-3-ton capacity range. Verify system matchup against manufacturer expanded rating data before installation.
Installation must be performed by an EPA Section 608 certified HVAC technician. Shut down and lock out the electrical supply to the air handler or furnace before coil installation, and recover any existing refrigerant charge per EPA regulations before opening the refrigerant circuit. Confirm that the plenum or cabinet dimensions accommodate the coil and allow for proper condensate drainage and airflow. Follow local mechanical codes and manufacturer documentation for refrigerant line sizing, flare or braze connections, and leak testing before system startup.
