The coil ships factory-installed with a piston metering device, making it a ready-to-install solution for systems in the 36,000 to 42,000 BTU/h capacity range. Sized for B-cabinet width at 17.5 inches, it fits over standard upflow and upflow-horizontal furnace platforms. Licensed HVAC technicians install this coil as the indoor heat-transfer component responsible for absorbing heat from return air and transferring that energy to the refrigerant circuit.
This coil is suited for residential new-construction and replacement installations where a vertical cased coil configuration is required. The B-cabinet footprint targets standard-width air handler and furnace combinations common in single-family and light-commercial construction. Its compatibility with R454B, a lower global-warming-potential refrigerant, makes it appropriate for installations subject to updated environmental regulations governing refrigerant selection.
