The NORGREN R74G-4AK-RMG is a standard compressed air regulator designed to maintain consistent downstream pressure in pneumatic systems. Built around the R74G series platform, it accepts supply pressures up to 300 psi and delivers a regulated output range of 5 to 150 psi. Maximum airflow capacity is 220 CFM, making it suitable for high-demand industrial and commercial compressed air circuits. The zinc body construction keeps weight manageable at 1.6 pounds while providing adequate durability for continuous-duty service. A built-in relief function and an included pressure gauge with a 1/4 inch gauge port thread make setup and monitoring straightforward. Licensed pipefitters, millwrights, and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers.
This regulator fits applications across manufacturing, process automation, and facility compressed air distribution where precise pressure control is required. The 1/2 inch NPTF port size suits medium-flow branch lines and tool supply drops. Modular connection support allows integration into Norgren modular FRL (filter-regulator-lubricator) assemblies. The unit handles neutral gases and is rated for operating temperatures down to -30 degrees F, covering most indoor and sheltered outdoor industrial environments.
Designed as a standard OEM-style replacement or new-installation regulator within the Norgren R74G series, compatible with modular Norgren FRL systems accepting 1/2 inch NPTF port connections.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter or industrial maintenance technician in accordance with applicable compressed air system codes and the equipment manufacturer guidelines. Depressurize and lock out the upstream air supply before removing any existing regulator or making new connections. Verify that all NPTF thread connections are clean and properly engaged before re-pressurizing the system. Do not exceed the 300 psi maximum supply pressure rating.
