The NORGREN R73G-4AK-RMG is an intermediate-series compressed air regulator designed to maintain stable downstream pressure in pneumatic systems. Built with a zinc body, it handles supply pressures up to 300 psi and regulates output across a 5 to 150 psi range. Maximum airflow capacity is 144 CFM, making it well suited for medium to high-demand pneumatic circuits. The unit features a 1/2 inch NPTF port, an integrated pressure gauge, a modular connection interface, and a built-in relief function that vents excess pressure when the downstream demand drops. HVAC controls technicians, industrial maintenance crews, and plumbing contractors working on pneumatic systems are the primary installers.
This regulator fits intermediate-position applications in compressed air distribution lines where precise pressure control is required upstream of tools, actuators, or pneumatic control valves. The modular connection design allows it to be ganged with other R73G-series components for multi-function filter-regulator-lubricator assemblies. The relief function makes it appropriate for systems where downstream pressure must not be allowed to creep above the set point during low-flow or no-flow conditions. It is rated for compressed air service and carries a minimum operating temperature of -30 degrees F, supporting use in unheated mechanical rooms or outdoor enclosures in cold climates.
Designed as an OEM-style intermediate regulator for compressed air systems using 1/2 inch NPTF connections; compatible with modular R73G-series pneumatic component assemblies where input data confirms series compatibility.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with compressed air system work. Depressurize and lock out the air supply before removing any existing regulator or fitting. Follow applicable OSHA and ANSI standards for compressed air line service. Verify that downstream components are rated for the full 300 psi supply pressure before connecting, and set the output pressure adjustment only after the system is pressurized and all fittings are confirmed leak-free.
