The NORGREN R72G-2AK-RMG is a compact compressed air regulator designed for pressure regulation in industrial pneumatic systems. Part of the R72G series, it handles a maximum supply pressure of 300 psi and delivers up to 70 CFM of airflow, making it well-suited for demanding shop-floor and production-line applications. The regulator includes a built-in relief function and an integrated pressure gauge, giving technicians direct visual feedback on downstream pressure. Its zinc body construction offers durability in typical compressed air environments. Licensed pneumatic technicians, maintenance mechanics, and pipefitters install this type of regulator as part of air preparation assemblies.
The R72G-2AK-RMG connects via 1/4 inch NPTF ports and supports a regulated output pressure range of 5 to 150 psi. The modular connection feature allows it to be combined with other components in a modular air preparation system, such as filters and lubricators, without additional fittings. It is rated for use with compressed air and is suited for residential shop systems, light industrial installations, and commercial pneumatic tool lines where a compact footprint is required. The minimum operating temperature of -30 degrees F extends its usability in cold-environment applications.
Designed for use with compressed air systems utilizing 1/4 inch NPTF connections. Compatible with modular air preparation assemblies in the NORGREN R72G series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter or pneumatic systems technician. Isolate and fully depressurize the supply line before removing any existing regulator or making new connections. Apply appropriate thread sealant to NPTF connections per system requirements and verify all joints are leak-free before returning the system to service. Confirm downstream pressure settings are within the rated output range before connecting sensitive pneumatic equipment.
