The NORGREN R17-800-RGLA is a heavy-duty compressed air regulator designed for high-demand pneumatic systems requiring precise downstream pressure control. Built from aluminum, it handles a maximum supply pressure of 300 psi and delivers up to 480 CFM of airflow through a 1-inch NPTF port. The R17 series includes an integrated relief function to vent excess downstream pressure when supply is shut off or demand drops, protecting downstream equipment. A pressure gauge is included, giving technicians an immediate visual read of regulated output pressure without adding a separate fitting. This regulator is suited for industrial compressed air lines, production equipment, and heavy service pneumatic applications.
The R17-800-RGLA fits into compressed air distribution systems where high flow capacity and wide operating range are required. The 5 to 125 psi output range covers most industrial and commercial pneumatic tool and process requirements. With a 1-inch NPTF end connection, it installs directly into standard compressed air headers, drop lines, or point-of-use manifolds. The aluminum body keeps weight manageable at 2.5 pounds while maintaining durability in continuous-duty environments. It is rated for operation down to -30 degrees F, making it suitable for cold storage facilities, outdoor enclosures, and unheated mechanical spaces.
Designed as an OEM-style heavy-duty inline air regulator for industrial compressed air systems utilizing 1-inch NPTF pipe connections and requiring high-flow pressure regulation up to 300 psi supply.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter or pneumatic systems technician. Depressurize and lock out the compressed air supply completely before removing any existing regulator or fitting the new unit. Apply thread sealant rated for compressed air service to NPTF connections and verify all joints for leaks before returning the system to pressure. Confirm that the adjusted output pressure does not exceed the rated working pressure of any downstream components.
