The NORGREN L74C-6AP-QDN is a standard oil fog lubricator designed for compressed air systems. It meters and injects oil mist into the downstream airflow, protecting pneumatic tools, cylinders, valves, and actuators from wear and corrosion. The body is constructed from aluminum and the bowl is metal, providing durability in industrial and commercial shop environments. At 8.81 inches tall and 3.15 inches wide, it fits standard filter-regulator-lubricator (FRL) manifold arrangements or inline plumbing through its 3/4 inch NPT port. Licensed technicians and industrial maintenance professionals handle installation. A built-in sight glass allows quick visual confirmation of oil level and drip rate without disassembly.
The L74C-6AP-QDN is suited for use in industrial compressed air distribution lines where downstream pneumatic equipment requires continuous lubrication. It is appropriate for both fixed shop installations and portable compressor setups where a 3/4 inch NPT connection is present. The manual drain allows controlled removal of accumulated condensate or oil from the bowl during scheduled maintenance. Typical applications include manufacturing floor pneumatic systems, maintenance shops, and process air lines serving actuators and air-driven tools.
Designed as an OEM-style inline lubricator for compressed air systems using 3/4 inch NPT connections. Compatible with standard FRL component mounting arrangements where a 3/4 inch NPT lubricator is specified.
Installation should be performed by a qualified industrial maintenance technician or pipefitter familiar with compressed air system plumbing. Depressurize and isolate the air line completely before installation or bowl service. Apply thread sealant appropriate for pneumatic service to all NPT connections per local code requirements. Do not exceed the rated pressure or flow specifications for this lubricator, and ensure airflow direction matches the arrow or inlet marking on the body.
