The NORGREN F74G-4AN-QP1 is a standard compressed air line filter designed to remove particulate contamination from pneumatic systems. It uses a sintered polypropylene filter element with a 5-micron rating to capture fine particles before they reach downstream components such as valves, actuators, and air tools. The aluminum housing is paired with a polycarbonate bowl and bowl guard, offering both durability and visible fluid level monitoring. Rated for up to 140 SCFM flow and a maximum operating pressure of 150 psi, this filter suits moderate to high-demand industrial air circuits. A manual drain allows controlled removal of collected moisture and condensate. Licensed HVAC mechanics, maintenance technicians, and industrial pipefitters typically install this unit.
The F74G-4AN-QP1 is suited for use in industrial and commercial compressed air distribution systems where clean, dry air is critical to equipment performance. The 1/2-inch NPT port size and modular connection design make it compatible with standard inline filter-regulator-lubricator (FRL) assemblies and modular pneumatic component circuits. It is appropriate for factory floor pneumatic systems, automated machinery, and air-powered tooling applications operating within its rated pressure and temperature envelope. Maximum operating temperature is 125 degrees F. The 7-ounce bowl capacity handles typical condensate accumulation in production environments.
Designed as an OEM-style inline filter for compressed air systems using 1/2-inch NPT connections with modular FRL assembly configurations.
Installation should be performed by a qualified industrial technician or pipefitter. Depressurize the air line completely and lock out the air supply before installing or servicing this filter. Mount the unit in a vertical orientation with the bowl facing downward to allow proper condensate collection and drainage. Follow applicable local codes and OSHA compressed air safety guidelines when working on pressurized pneumatic systems.
