The NORGREN F72G-2AN-AE1 is a compact compressed air filter designed for inline filtration in pneumatic systems. It removes particulate contamination using a 5-micron sintered polypropylene filter element housed in an aluminum body with a metal bowl. The automatic drain eliminates manual maintenance during continuous operation. Rated for 55 SCFM flow and a maximum operating pressure of 150 psi, this unit handles the demands of industrial and commercial pneumatic circuits. A sight glass is included for visual bowl-level inspection without disassembly. The modular connection design allows it to integrate into multi-unit filter-regulator-lubricator assemblies. Installation is handled by pneumatic technicians and mechanical contractors working on compressed air distribution systems.
The F72G-2AN-AE1 is suited for point-of-use filtration on pneumatic tools, actuators, valves, and instrumentation in manufacturing, HVAC controls, and process automation environments. The 1/4 NPT port size makes it appropriate for smaller flow branches in a compressed air header. Its compact footprint fits installations where space is constrained. The automatic drain function makes it a practical choice for locations that are difficult to service on a regular manual schedule. Maximum operating temperature is 150 degrees F, which covers most ambient industrial and mechanical room conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation compact air filter for 1/4 NPT pneumatic systems requiring 5-micron filtration with automatic drain and modular FRL connection capability.
Installation is performed by qualified pneumatic or mechanical technicians. Depressurize and lock out the compressed air supply before removing any existing filter or making connections. Verify that upstream supply pressure does not exceed the 150 psi maximum rating. Apply thread sealant appropriate for pneumatic service to NPT threads per local code requirements; avoid excess sealant that could contaminate the air circuit.
