The NORGREN DC/92040/M/3 is a double acting rodless air cylinder built for linear motion control in industrial pneumatic systems. With a 1.5-inch bore and a 3-inch stroke, it delivers smooth, bidirectional actuation powered by compressed air. The stainless steel body handles demanding environments where corrosion resistance is a priority. Maximum working pressure is 145 psi, and the 1/8 NPTF port accepts standard pneumatic fittings. A 5/16-24 rod thread and square style body simplify mounting and integration into existing machine frames. Pneumatic technicians and automation specialists are the typical installers for this class of cylinder.
This cylinder is suited for compact linear automation tasks in light industrial, manufacturing, and process control environments. Its rodless design keeps the overall envelope short relative to stroke length, making it a practical choice where space is constrained along the axis of travel. The stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for wash-down areas, food-adjacent equipment, or corrosive atmospheres where a standard aluminum cylinder would not hold up. It is sold individually and is compatible with standard 1/8 NPTF pneumatic plumbing components.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit component for pneumatic linear motion systems requiring a double acting rodless cylinder with a 1.5-inch bore and 1/8 NPTF porting.
Installation is performed by qualified pneumatic or automation technicians. Depressurize and lock out the air supply before removing any existing cylinder or connecting fittings. Verify that supply pressure does not exceed 145 psi and that all NPTF threads are sealed with appropriate thread sealant rated for pneumatic service. Confirm that the mounting structure and load alignment are within the design limits of the cylinder before returning the system to service.
