The NORGREN D1023C-CY is a mechanically operated poppet-style solenoid valve designed for pneumatic and fluid control applications. It uses a solenoid actuator to shift between two positions, controlling flow through a 3/8-inch NPT inlet in a normally closed (NC) configuration. With a Cv rating of 3.6 and a working pressure range from 30 psi up to a maximum of 10.3 bar (approximately 149 psi), this valve delivers reliable flow control in demanding industrial and mechanical systems. Licensed HVAC technicians, pipefitters, and industrial mechanics install this type of valve where precise solenoid-actuated flow switching is required.
The D1023C-CY is suited for use in pneumatic control systems, compressed air circuits, and fluid handling installations where a 2-position, 3-port normally closed valve is specified. Its 3/8-inch NPT threaded inlet integrates directly into standard pipe configurations. The operating temperature range of -20 degrees F to 120 degrees F makes it appropriate for both indoor mechanical rooms and light industrial environments. The black body finish is standard for this product line. This valve is typically installed by industrial mechanics, pipefitters, or HVAC controls technicians working on automated control or pneumatic actuation systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install solenoid poppet valve for 2-position, 3-port pneumatic and fluid control systems requiring a 3/8-inch NPT connection and normally closed operation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, industrial mechanic, or HVAC controls technician. Depressurize and de-energize the system completely before removing or installing this valve. NPT threads require appropriate thread sealant applied per IPC guidelines — do not over-torque fittings. Verify that inlet pressure does not fall below the 30 psi minimum working pressure, as the valve requires minimum pressure to function correctly.
