The NORGREN C24880418 is a brass push-to-connect swivel Y adapter fitting designed to split or combine pneumatic or fluid lines in a compact, field-installable format. It connects a 1/4-inch OD tube on two ports to a 1/8-inch male NPTF threaded port, allowing quick tube insertion without tools on the tube side while threading securely into a tapped port or manifold. Rated to 150 psi maximum working pressure and suitable for temperatures from 0 degrees F to 175 degrees F, this fitting handles typical compressed air and light fluid service demands. The nitrile O-ring seals are well suited to air, water, and many common hydraulic fluids encountered in pneumatic control systems.
This swivel Y adapter is used in pneumatic tubing runs found in HVAC controls, automation panels, compressed air distribution, and light industrial fluid circuits. The swivel function on the male NPT port simplifies installation in tight or angled spaces where a fixed-body fitting would be difficult to align. It is appropriate for residential and light commercial HVAC pneumatic control lines, refrigeration controls, and similar low-pressure compressed air applications where 1/4-inch OD poly or nylon tubing is standard.
Designed for use with 1/4-inch OD pneumatic tubing and 1/8-inch NPTF male threaded ports in compressed air and pneumatic control systems. Verify thread form and tube OD at the installation point before fitting.
A licensed or qualified technician should depressurize and isolate the pneumatic or fluid circuit completely before removing or installing any fitting. Apply appropriate thread sealant to the NPTF male threads per the system fluid compatibility requirements. Push-to-connect ports require a clean, square-cut tube end seated fully into the collet for a leak-free connection. After installation, pressurize slowly and inspect all joints for leaks before returning the system to service.
