The NORGREN C24470438 is a brass push-to-connect 90-degree swivel elbow tube fitting designed for pneumatic and fluid distribution lines. It connects a 1/4-inch OD tube on each end to a 3/8-inch male NPTF threaded port, allowing fast, tool-free tube insertion alongside a swiveling threaded connection that simplifies routing in tight spaces. Rated to 150 psi maximum working pressure, it handles operating temperatures from 0 degrees F to 175 degrees F. The nitrile O-ring sealing element provides reliable resistance to common pneumatic system fluids and lubricants. This fitting is installed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial piping mechanics working with compressed air, water, or compatible fluid lines.
This fitting is suited for light industrial, commercial HVAC, and pneumatic control applications where a direction change is needed between a push-to-connect tube run and a male NPT threaded port. The swivel elbow design reduces stress on tubing during installation by allowing the threaded end to rotate independently. Typical install scenarios include pneumatic actuator supply lines, compressed air distribution manifolds, and equipment control panels where 1/4-inch OD tubing meets NPT-tapped ports or valves rated for the 150 psi working envelope.
Designed for use with 1/4-inch OD push-to-connect compatible tubing and 3/8-inch NPTF male threaded ports in pneumatic or fluid distribution systems operating within the rated pressure and temperature range.
Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any push-to-connect fitting. Ensure the tubing end is cut cleanly and squarely, and that the outer diameter is free of burrs or scoring before inserting into the push-to-connect collet. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPTF male threads in accordance with the system fluid compatibility and applicable plumbing or mechanical codes. Verify all connections are fully seated and the system is leak-tested before returning to service.
