The NORGREN C24260418 is a straight push-to-connect tube fitting adapter designed to connect 1/4 inch OD tubing to a 1/8 inch female NPTF port. Constructed from brass, this adapter handles up to 150 psi working pressure and is rated for use between 0 and 175 degrees F. The push-to-connect end accepts tubing without tools, while the female NPTF thread end mates to standard tapered pipe ports. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-systems technicians install this fitting type in pneumatic control lines, refrigerant-side accessory circuits, and instrument air tubing runs where a quick, reliable tube-to-pipe-thread transition is needed.
This adapter is suited for light commercial and residential pneumatic and fluid-control applications. Typical installations include instrument air lines, pneumatic actuator supply circuits, and HVAC control tubing where 1/4 inch OD tubing must terminate at a 1/8 inch female NPT port on a valve body, gauge, or manifold. The nitrile O-ring provides a positive seal at the tube-grab collet, making it appropriate for dry air, nitrogen, and compatible fluid service within its rated temperature and pressure range.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect adapter for pneumatic and fluid-control systems using 1/4 inch OD tubing terminating at 1/8 inch female NPTF ports.
Shut off system pressure and depressurize all lines before removing or installing any push-to-connect fitting. Ensure tubing is cut cleanly and squarely and that the OD is within specification before insertion. Hand-thread the NPTF end to the mating port, then wrench-tighten per standard pipe-fitting practice; tapered NPTF threads do not require additional thread sealant tape but sealant may be applied per shop practice. Installation should comply with applicable pneumatic or plumbing system codes and be performed by a qualified technician.
