The NORGREN C24250228 is a straight push-to-connect adapter fitting designed to join pneumatic or fluid tubing to a male NPT threaded port in a single inline connection. Constructed from brass, this fitting handles a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and operates across a temperature range of 0 degrees F to 175 degrees F. The push-to-connect end accepts 5/32-inch outside diameter tubing, while the male threaded end uses a 1/4-inch NPTF thread form. An integrated nitrile O-ring provides a reliable seal at the tube connection. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and pneumatic system installers use this type of fitting where a tube line must transition to a threaded port quickly and without additional tooling on the tube side.
This fitting is suited for use in low-pressure pneumatic control lines, instrumentation tubing runs, and fluid distribution systems found in both residential and light commercial equipment. Typical applications include control air lines on pneumatic actuators, pilot lines on valves, and instrument tubing connections where a compact inline adapter is needed between soft tubing and a fixed threaded port. The small overall length of 0.87 inches makes it practical in confined panel or equipment enclosures where space is limited.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect adapter for pneumatic tubing systems using 5/32-inch OD tubing and 1/4-inch NPTF male-threaded ports in low-pressure air or compatible fluid applications.
Installation is performed by qualified HVAC technicians, plumbers, or pneumatic system technicians. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Insert tubing fully and squarely into the push-to-connect end until it seats; partial insertion is the most common cause of leaks and pullout failures. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPTF male threads as appropriate for the service fluid and per applicable codes, and verify there are no leaks before returning the system to service.
