The NORGREN C20230706 is a straight push-to-connect stem reducer tube fitting designed for fluid and pneumatic line connections that require a size transition between tube and stem. The fitting accepts a 3/8 inch OD tube on the push-to-connect end and terminates at a 1/2 inch OD stem. Constructed from brass with a nitrile O-ring, it is rated for a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and handles temperatures from 0 degrees F to 175 degrees F. At 0.0154 pounds and an overall length of 2.04 inches, this compact fitting suits tight installations in control panels, equipment manifolds, and compressed-air or fluid distribution assemblies. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pneumatic system technicians are the typical installers.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a push-to-connect tube must transition to a larger stem connection in a straight-line run. It is commonly used in compressed-air lines, pneumatic control circuits, fluid handling systems, and HVAC equipment where quick, tool-free tube insertion is required. The brass body and nitrile O-ring combination makes it appropriate for use with air, water, and many compatible hydraulic fluids within its rated pressure and temperature range.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for pneumatic control systems and fluid distribution assemblies using 3/8 inch OD push-to-connect tube and 1/2 inch OD stem connections.
Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician, plumber, or pneumatic systems technician. Always depressurize and isolate the line before disconnecting or installing any tube fitting. Confirm tube cut is square and clean, and that tube is fully seated past the collet before pressurizing. Verify that the tubing material and system media are compatible with brass body and nitrile O-ring construction prior to installation.
