The NORGREN C01470828 is a push-to-connect 90-degree swivel elbow tube fitting designed for pneumatic plumbing and fluid-control systems. It connects an 8mm outside-diameter tube to a 1/4-inch BSPT male thread and allows the elbow angle to be repositioned after installation without breaking the tube seal. The fitting is constructed from brass and rated to 150 psi maximum working pressure across a temperature range of 0 to 175 degrees F. The nitrile O-ring provides a reliable seal against compressed air and compatible fluids. Licensed HVAC technicians, industrial mechanics, and pneumatic-system technicians are the typical installers.
This fitting is suited for pneumatic control circuits, compressed-air distribution lines, and fluid-handling systems where a 90-degree directional change is required between a tube run and a male BSPT threaded port. It is appropriate for both light industrial and commercial applications operating within its rated pressure and temperature limits. The swivel feature simplifies alignment in tight panel or manifold installations where tube routing is constrained.
Designed for use with 8mm outside-diameter pneumatic tubing and equipment fitted with 1/4-inch BSPT male threaded ports. Typical applications include pneumatic control panels, solenoid valve manifolds, and compressed-air distribution systems compatible with BSPT threaded connections.
De-pressurize the system completely before removing an existing fitting or installing this one. Apply appropriate BSPT thread sealant tape or compound to the male threads before engagement, as BSPT is a parallel thread that relies on a sealing compound or O-ring at the thread face rather than a tapered thread seal. Hand-tighten to seat the O-ring, then snug with a wrench — do not over-torque brass fittings. To insert tubing, push the tube firmly into the collet until it bottoms; to release, depress the collet ring and withdraw the tube.
