The NORGREN B73G-4AK-QD1-RMG is a one-piece filter/regulator combination unit designed for compressed air systems requiring inline filtration and pressure regulation in a single body. Built on the B73G series intermediate platform, this unit accepts 1/2 NPT connections, handles up to 250 psi supply pressure, and delivers a rated flow of 123 SCFM. The aluminum body keeps weight low at 1.9 pounds while the metal bowl and 5-micron filter element protect downstream equipment from particulates and moisture. A pressure gauge is included and mounts via a 1/4-inch gauge port, giving technicians an immediate visual reference at the point of regulation. A sight glass is integrated into the bowl for quick condensate level checks without removing the unit from service.
This filter/regulator is suited for industrial and commercial pneumatic installations where intermediate-grade conditioning is required between a compressed air supply and downstream tools, actuators, or control equipment. The 1/2 NPT NPTF end connections are compatible with standard pipe and tube fitting assemblies found throughout industrial plumbing and pneumatic distribution systems. The modular connection design allows integration into a larger FRL bank alongside lubricators or additional filter stages. Manual drain operation gives the installing technician direct control over condensate removal. The unit operates across a temperature range of -30 degrees F to 175 degrees F, making it suitable for most indoor and light-duty outdoor enclosure applications.
Designed as an OEM-style drop-in unit for compressed air systems requiring intermediate-body FRL or standalone filter/regulator service on 1/2 NPT pneumatic lines. Modular connection allows pairing with compatible B73G series lubricator or additional filter modules within an FRL bank configuration.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pneumatic systems technician or pipefitter familiar with compressed air distribution systems. Depressurize and lock out the air supply upstream before installing or servicing this unit. Pipe thread connections should be sealed with appropriate thread sealant rated for compressed air service in accordance with applicable plumbing and mechanical codes. Orient the bowl downward as designed to ensure proper condensate collection, and verify the manual drain is closed before returning the system to pressure.
