The NORGREN B72G-3AK-QE1-RMG is a compact, one-piece filter/regulator combination unit designed for compressed air preparation in pneumatic systems. It filters particulate contamination down to 5 microns while simultaneously regulating downstream pressure, delivering up to 80 SCFM through a 3/8 NPT port. Built with a zinc body and metal bowl, this FRL unit handles supply pressures up to 250 psi and operates across a temperature range of -30 degrees F to 175 degrees F. A pressure gauge is included, and the unit features a manual drain and a sight glass for bowl-level monitoring. Licensed HVAC technicians, industrial maintenance technicians, and pneumatic system installers typically specify this component for air preparation ahead of valves, actuators, and tooling.
The B72G-3AK-QE1-RMG fits compressed air distribution applications in both light industrial and commercial settings. Its compact body profile makes it well suited for installations with limited panel or manifold space. The 3/8 NPTF end connections are compatible with standard compressed air plumbing in workshop, production, and mechanical room environments. Modular connection capability allows this unit to be integrated into multi-unit FRL assemblies where additional filtration, lubrication, or accessory stages are required. The included pressure gauge provides at-a-glance downstream pressure verification without additional instrumentation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install component for compressed air preparation systems requiring a 3/8 NPT filter/regulator combination in the NORGREN B72G series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pneumatic or mechanical systems technician. Depressurize and lock out the compressed air supply before removing any existing components or making new connections. Apply thread sealant appropriate for compressed air service on all NPT connections and verify there are no leaks before returning the system to operating pressure. Mount the unit in a vertical orientation with the bowl facing downward to ensure proper condensate collection and manual drain function.
