The NORGREN 124880428 is a push-to-connect parallel male swivel Y-connector designed for tube-to-male NPTF pneumatic and fluid line applications. Constructed from nickel-plated brass with a nitrile O-ring, it provides a reliable, corrosion-resistant connection rated to 260 psi maximum working pressure. The fitting accepts 1/4-inch outside diameter tubing and threads into a 1/4-inch NPTF male port. The swivel design allows rotational adjustment after assembly, simplifying routing in tight installations. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and pneumatic system technicians typically install this fitting in compressed air, vacuum, and fluid distribution systems.
This fitting is suited for both residential and light commercial applications where push-to-connect convenience is required at a male threaded junction point. The Y-configuration allows a single threaded port to branch into two tube runs without additional fittings or adapters. It performs within a temperature range of 0 degrees F to 175 degrees F, making it appropriate for a wide range of pneumatic control and fluid handling environments common in HVAC control lines, pneumatic actuator circuits, and general trade plumbing.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect fitting for pneumatic and fluid systems using 1/4-inch outside diameter tubing with 1/4-inch NPTF male threaded ports.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or pneumatic system technicians. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Ensure the receiving port threads are clean and undamaged before threading the fitting; NPTF threads are designed for pressure-tight metal-to-metal seals without sealant tape, though local codes should be consulted. Verify tubing is cut square and deburred before inserting into the push-to-connect collet to ensure a positive seal.
