The NORGAS METERING TECHNOLOGIES NGR02-BDF is a low-pressure gas regulator designed to maintain stable outlet pressure in residential and light commercial gas distribution systems. Built around a 3/4-inch body with a 1/2-inch orifice (ORF), it delivers an outlet pressure range of 2 to 7 inches water column (WC). Gas regulators in this class are installed upstream of appliances or meter sets to protect downstream equipment from pressure fluctuations. Licensed plumbers and gas fitters are the primary installers of this type of device on natural gas and propane supply lines.
The NGR02-BDF is suited for low-pressure gas service in residential heating systems, water heaters, cooking appliances, and similar gas-fired equipment. Its 3/4-inch connection size fits standard residential and light commercial gas line configurations. The 2 to 7 inches WC pressure range covers typical low-pressure appliance supply requirements where consistent, regulated delivery pressure is critical to safe and efficient combustion.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation regulator for low-pressure gas systems requiring a 3/4-inch connection and a 2 to 7 inches WC outlet pressure range.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber or gas fitter in accordance with local codes and IFGC requirements. Shut off the gas supply and verify zero pressure at the work point before removing any existing regulator or fittings. Use appropriate pipe thread sealant rated for gas service on all threaded connections. After installation, test all joints for leaks with an approved leak-detection solution before restoring gas flow.
