Nordic Pure Merv 12 Plus Carbon Filter 16.38x21.38x0.75 6pk

Product Description

The NORDIC PURE 16_3/8x21_3/8x1ExactCustomM12+C-6 is a custom-made, pleated air filter with activated carbon media rated at MERV 12. It captures airborne particulates and adsorbs odors simultaneously, making it suited for residential and light-commercial HVAC systems where both particulate and odor control are priorities. The filter is built to exact dimensions - actual size 16.38 x 21.38 x 0.75 inches - meaning it is manufactured specifically to the measurements provided at order. A licensed HVAC technician or qualified installer should confirm slot dimensions before ordering, as this product is not eligible for return once made.

This filter is designed for use in forced-air furnace and central air conditioning systems that require a non-standard filter size. It ships in a box of 6 and is appropriate for residential applications where occupants have allergy or odor concerns. At MERV 12, it provides high-efficiency filtration without the excessive static pressure drop associated with higher MERV ratings, keeping system airflow balanced. The reinforced 2-part frame supports structural integrity during the full service life.

Key Features

• MERV 12 rating captures over 90% of particles between 3-10 microns and 80%-90% between 1-3 microns, including dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, smoke, bacteria, and viruses
• Activated carbon layer adsorbs household odors in addition to particulate filtration
• Custom-cut to exact dimensions - actual size 16.38 x 21.38 x 0.75 inches - for non-standard filter slots
• Reinforced 2-part frame provides added durability and maintains consistent airflow support over time
• Sold as a 6-pack, reducing replacement frequency per order
• Made in the USA

Compatibility

Designed for forced-air furnace and central air conditioning systems requiring a custom 1-inch nominal filter slot with actual opening dimensions of 16.38 x 21.38 x 0.75 inches. Measure the existing filter or filter slot before ordering - custom sizes are manufactured to specification and are not returnable.

Installation Notes

Installation of replacement air filters should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or a competent homeowner familiar with their system. Always shut down the HVAC system at the thermostat and, where applicable, at the disconnect before removing the old filter. Confirm airflow direction markings on the filter frame align with system airflow before seating the filter. For 1-inch filters, replacement is typically recommended every 30-90 days depending on household conditions such as pets, dust load, and occupancy.
