The NORDIC PURE 8x8x1ExactCustomM13+C-6 is a custom-made, pleated MERV 13 plus carbon air filter designed for residential AC and furnace systems. Built to exact dimensions of 8 x 8 x 0.75 inches actual size, this filter combines a high-efficiency MERV 13 media with an activated carbon layer to capture fine particulates and reduce common household odors. It captures over 90% of airborne particles between 1 and 10 microns, and 50% to 70% of particles between 0.3 and 1 microns, including dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, smoke, bacteria, and viruses. Licensed HVAC technicians and experienced DIYers install this filter in standard forced-air systems where a non-standard opening requires a custom-cut frame.

This filter is suited for residential forced-air heating and cooling applications where standard nominal sizes do not fit the filter housing. The 8 x 8 x 1 nominal size with an actual measurement of 8 x 8 x 0.75 inches is custom-fabricated by cutting down or combining filter frames, and may incorporate frame tape depending on the final dimensions. The pack includes 6 filters. For 1-inch filters, Nordic Pure recommends a replacement interval of every 30 to 90 days depending on household conditions such as pets, dust levels, and local air quality.

Installation Notes

Because this is a custom-fabricated size, verify actual filter dimensions against the housing opening before installation - a proper fit within 0.125 inches of the housing dimension is required for effective filtration and to prevent air bypass.
