The NORDIC PURE 25x25x2M13+C-3 is a MERV 13 pleated air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, sold in a 3-pack. The pleated media is made from electrostatically charged synthetic material that captures fine airborne particulates, while a flat panel infused with activated charcoal adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The filter media is hypoallergenic and antimicrobial, meaning it resists bacteria and mold growth within the media itself. A metal mesh support grid bonded to the pleats adds structural rigidity, and the frame is constructed from heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board. Nominal size is 25x25x2 inches with an actual size of 24.5 x 24.5 x 1.75 inches.
This filter is suited for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems where both fine particulate control and odor reduction are priorities. Typical applications include homes with pets, smokers, or occupants with allergy sensitivities, as well as spaces undergoing renovation where dust and VOC loads are elevated. At MERV 13, this filter captures lint, household dust, pollen, smoke particles, dust mites, pet dander, smog, virus carriers, and mold spores in addition to adsorbing odor-causing gases. Nordic Pure rates MERV 13 performance as equivalent to the MPR 2200-2400 range used by some other filter manufacturers. The 3-pack format supports a 30-to-90-day replacement interval without requiring frequent reordering.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems requiring a 25x25x2 nominal filter size. Actual dimensions are 24.5 x 24.5 x 1.75 inches - verify the actual slot or rack dimensions before ordering, as nominal and actual sizes differ across filter brands and equipment manufacturers.
Air filter replacement is a standard HVAC maintenance task typically performed by the homeowner or a licensed HVAC technician. Before replacing the filter, set the thermostat fan to the off position to prevent unfiltered air from circulating during the changeover. Confirm airflow direction by matching the directional arrow printed on the filter frame to the airflow direction in the unit. Filters should be replaced every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor air quality conditions, occupancy, and pet or renovation activity.
