The NORDIC PURE 24x24x1M14+C-3 is a pleated MERV 14 air filter with an activated carbon layer, sold in a 3-pack sized at 24x24x1 inches nominal. Designed for forced-air HVAC systems in residential and light-commercial applications, it combines electrostatically charged synthetic filter media with a flat activated carbon panel to capture fine airborne particulates and adsorb odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The MERV 14 rating means the filter captures a high percentage of particles in the 0.3-to-1 micron range. Licensed HVAC technicians typically specify this filter for high-efficiency systems that require elevated filtration performance.
This filter is suited for residential homes and light-commercial spaces where both particulate control and odor reduction are priorities. The activated carbon layer targets smoke, cooking odors, pet smells, and VOCs, while the pleated MERV 14 media captures dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, dust mite debris, bacteria, and smog particles. Because of the elevated filtration efficiency and corresponding airflow restriction, the HVAC system must be rated to handle MERV 14 or higher filters. This filter is particularly well-matched to newer, high-efficiency systems previously using HEPA-style filters. Nordic Pure rates this filter as equivalent to an MPR 2800 filter. Replace every 30 to 90 days depending on environmental conditions and system load.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement pleated air filter for residential and light-commercial forced-air HVAC systems with a 24x24x1 inch nominal filter slot rated to accept MERV 14 or higher filtration. Actual filter dimensions are 23.38 x 23.38 x 0.75 inches; verify the actual slot size before ordering.
Filter installation and replacement is typically performed by a licensed HVAC technician, though many knowledgeable end users handle routine filter changes. Always shut off the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or thermostat before removing the old filter to prevent unfiltered air from being drawn through the system. Insert the new filter with the airflow arrow on the frame pointing toward the blower and away from the return air duct. Because MERV 14 filters impose greater static pressure than lower-rated media, confirm the system blower is rated for the additional restriction before installation.
