The NORDIC PURE 20x25x5ABM10-2 is a MERV 10 pleated replacement air filter designed for Trion Air Bear filter systems. Sold in a 2-pack, each filter has a nominal size of 20x25x5 and an actual size of 19.75 x 24.25 x 4.875 inches. The filter media is hypoallergenic, antimicrobial, and electrostatic, capturing pollen, smoke particles, pet dander, bacteria, allergens, mold spores, and virus carriers on each pass. The heavy-duty beverage board frame is moisture resistant and includes two foam tape strips on two sides, plus a bonded metal mesh support grid to maintain pleat integrity. Licensed HVAC technicians and experienced DIYers install this filter in compatible deep-media air cleaners.

This filter is rated for residential and light commercial applications where a deep-media, high-capacity filtration solution is required. It is a direct replacement for Trion Air Bear systems that accept a 20x25x5 nominal filter with a 4 7/8-inch actual depth. MERV 10 performance is equivalent to an MPR 1000 rating, making it a significant upgrade over standard fiberglass, poly disposable, and non-electrostatic washable filters. Verify your housing accepts the 4 7/8-inch actual depth before ordering, as Air Bear housings are also available in 4 3/8-inch and 5 1/4-inch depth configurations.

Installation Notes

Confirm the actual filter slot dimensions in the air handler or media cabinet before installation, as nominal and actual sizes differ. Power down the HVAC system at the thermostat and disconnect power at the air handler before removing the old filter. Insert the new filter with the airflow arrow on the frame pointing toward the blower. Dispose of the used filter immediately to avoid redistributing captured particulates.
