The NORDIC PURE 20x25x4M12-2 is a two-pack of pleated MERV 12 air filters designed for residential and light-commercial forced-air HVAC systems. Each filter uses electrostatically charged, hypoallergenic synthetic media to capture airborne particulates including lint, household dust, pollen, pet dander, smoke particles, dust mites, virus carriers, mold spores, and bacteria. The nominal size is 20 x 25 x 4 inches with an actual size of 19.5 x 24.5 x 3.63 inches. A moisture-resistant beverage board frame and an internal metal mesh support grid bonded to the pleats ensure structural integrity throughout the filter's service life. HVAC technicians and homeowners install these filters in standard 4-inch filter housings on furnaces and air handlers.
These filters are suited for residential forced-air furnaces and central air conditioning systems that accept a nominal 20 x 25 x 4 inch filter. MERV 12 performance is equivalent to an MPR rating of 1500-1900. At this rating, the filter captures more than 90 percent of particles in the 3.0-10.0 micron range and up to 90 percent of particles in the 1.0-3.0 micron range, making it appropriate for households with allergy concerns or pets. Note: if replacing a Honeywell or Lennox 20 x 25 x 4 filter with an actual depth of 4.38 inches, the correct replacement is the Nordic Pure 20x25x5 model, not this filter.
Designed for forced-air furnaces and central HVAC systems that accept a nominal 20 x 25 x 4 inch filter with an actual filter depth of 3.63 inches. Not a direct replacement for units requiring an actual depth of 4.38 inches such as certain Honeywell and Lennox 20 x 25 x 4 housings; those applications require the Nordic Pure 20x25x5 variant.
Filter installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or a qualified service professional. Always shut down the furnace or air handler at the thermostat and disconnect power at the disconnect switch or breaker before opening the filter compartment. Confirm the actual slot dimensions match the filter actual size of 19.5 x 24.5 x 3.63 inches before installation, as nominal and actual sizes differ. Nordic Pure recommends replacing this filter every 3 to 6 months, or more frequently in high-dust environments or during renovation activity.
