The NORDIC PURE 20x25x4M10-6 is a MERV 10 pleated air filter sold in a 6-pack, designed for residential and light-commercial forced-air HVAC systems. The filter uses electrostatically charged synthetic media to capture airborne particulates on each pass through the system. It captures more than 85% of particles in the 3.0-10.0 micron range and up to 65% of particles in the 1.0-3.0 micron range. The nominal size is 20x25x4 inches with an actual size of 19.5 x 24.5 x 3.63 inches. The frame is a moisture-resistant beverage board construction with a metal mesh support grid bonded to the pleats for structural integrity.
This filter is intended for use in residential furnaces, air handlers, and central air conditioning systems that accept a 20x25x4 nominal-size filter. It is well suited for households with pets, allergy concerns, or elevated dust loads. The antimicrobial, hypoallergenic filter media resists bacterial and mold growth within the filter itself. Nordic Pure recommends replacing the filter every 3 to 6 months depending on indoor and outdoor air quality conditions. Note: if you are replacing a Honeywell or Lennox 20x25x4 filter with an actual depth of 4.375 inches, this product is not the correct fit - refer to the NORDIC PURE 20x25x5 offering instead.
Fits forced-air furnaces, air handlers, and central air conditioning systems that accept a 20x25x4 nominal filter with an actual size of 19.5 x 24.5 x 3.63 inches. This filter is not a direct replacement for units requiring a 4.375-inch actual depth filter such as certain Honeywell and Lennox 20x25x4 housings.
A licensed HVAC technician or qualified installer should power down the furnace or air handler at the disconnect or thermostat before replacing the filter. Confirm the actual filter slot dimensions before installation - nominal and actual sizes differ, and an improperly sized filter will allow unfiltered air to bypass the media. Install with the airflow arrow on the frame pointing toward the blower. Follow the manufacturer's recommended change interval and local HVAC maintenance codes.
