The result is 33% more surface area compared to a single-layer design, which reduces flow restriction while improving both particle capture and odor control. This filter is used in residential and light-commercial forced-air heating and cooling systems and is installed by HVAC technicians or knowledgeable homeowners during routine maintenance. The frame is constructed from moisture-resistant beverage board with a bonded metal mesh support grid for structural integrity during operation.
