The NORDIC PURE 20x25x1PM12C-4 is a MERV 12 pleated air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, sold in a 4-pack with a nominal size of 20x25x1 inches and an actual size of 19.5 x 24.5 x 0.75 inches. The dual-material construction fuses a MERV 12-rated filtration layer with activated carbon media, delivering both particulate capture and odor reduction in a single filter. This design provides 33% more surface area compared to standard pleated filters while reducing flow restriction. It targets lint, household dust, pollen, smoke particles, dust mites, pet dander, virus carriers, mold spores, allergens, bacteria, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable homeowners install this filter in residential forced-air furnace and air conditioning systems.
This filter is suited for residential HVAC applications where both high particulate filtration and odor control are required. It performs well in homes with pets, smokers, allergy sufferers, or occupants sensitive to airborne VOCs. The filter media is permanently electrostatically charged to attract and hold particulates. Its antimicrobial treatment inhibits the growth of bacteria and mold within the filter media. The MERV 12 rating is equivalent to a MPR rating of 1500-1900, making it a high-efficiency replacement for standard fiberglass, poly disposable, or washable filters. Recommended replacement interval is every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor and outdoor air conditions.
Designed as a standard 20x25x1 nominal replacement filter for residential forced-air furnace and central air conditioning systems with a filter slot accepting a nominal 20x25x1 inch filter. Always verify fitment against the actual size of 19.5 x 24.5 x 0.75 inches before installation.
Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician or qualified homeowner. Power down the furnace or air handler at the disconnect or thermostat before removing the old filter. Confirm airflow direction by matching the arrow printed on the filter frame to the direction of airflow toward the blower. Replace every 30 to 90 days or more frequently during periods of heavy use, home renovation, or high outdoor particulate conditions.
