The NORDIC PURE 20x25x1M8-24 is a MERV 8 pleated air filter sold in a 24-pack, designed for use in residential and light commercial HVAC systems including forced-air furnaces and central air conditioners. Each filter measures 19.5 x 24.5 x 0.75 inches actual size with a nominal size of 20x25x1. The electrostatically charged filter media captures lint, dust, pollen, pet dander, dust mites, mold spores, bacteria, and other airborne contaminants on every air pass. The heavy-duty beverage board frame resists moisture and holds its shape throughout the service interval. MERV 8 efficiency is equivalent to MPR 800 and meets ASHRAE industry rating standards.
These filters are suited for residential homes, apartments, and light commercial spaces where occupant comfort and indoor air quality are priorities. They are a practical choice for households with pets or allergy sufferers who require more frequent filter changes. The 24-pack format reduces restocking frequency for multi-unit properties, service contractors managing multiple accounts, or homeowners on a regular replacement schedule. Filters should be replaced every one to three months depending on system load, occupancy, and environmental conditions. Higher-dust or high-occupancy environments may require more frequent changes.
Designed as a standard OEM-style replacement for residential and light commercial forced-air furnace and air conditioning systems accepting a 20x25x1 nominal filter size. Actual filter dimensions are 19.5 x 24.5 x 0.75 inches. Always verify the actual opening dimensions of the filter rack before installation, as nominal and actual sizes differ across equipment.
Filter replacement is a standard maintenance task performed by HVAC technicians or qualified facility maintenance personnel. Power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect or thermostat before removing the old filter. Confirm airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with the direction of airflow toward the blower. Dispose of the used filter in a sealed bag to contain captured particulates.
