The NORDIC PURE 20x25x1M14+C-2 is a MERV 14 pleated air filter with an integrated activated carbon layer, sold in a 2-pack. It is designed for residential and light-commercial forced-air HVAC systems where both fine particulate capture and odor control are required. The electrostatically charged synthetic filter media traps airborne particulates while the activated carbon layer adsorbs odorous gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The filter carries a MERV 14 rating, equivalent to an MPR 2800 rating, making it suited for high-efficiency systems capable of handling the associated static pressure increase. Licensed HVAC technicians and knowledgeable end-users install these filters during routine maintenance intervals.
This filter is appropriate for residential and light-commercial applications where air quality is a priority, including households with allergy or asthma concerns, pet owners, and environments with elevated odor or smoke exposure. It is engineered for use in high-efficiency forced-air systems that are rated to accommodate MERV 14 filtration. Systems designed for HEPA-grade filtration are well-suited for this filter. Because of the higher filtration density, the HVAC system must be confirmed to handle MERV 14 or higher before installation. Nominal size is 20 x 25 x 1 inches; actual size is 19.5 x 24.5 x 0.75 inches.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement pleated air filter for residential and light-commercial forced-air HVAC systems with a 20 x 25 x 1 inch filter slot; confirm your system is rated to handle MERV 14 or higher static pressure before installation.
Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician or qualified end-user. Always shut off the HVAC system at the thermostat and disconnect power at the air handler or furnace before replacing the filter. Confirm airflow direction by matching the arrow printed on the filter frame to the direction of airflow into the unit. Nordic Pure recommends replacing this filter every 30 to 90 days depending on indoor and outdoor air quality conditions; higher-use or higher-contamination environments will require more frequent changes.
